What Is Foot & Ankle Pain?

Foot and ankle pain can show up in a lot of different ways, and it’s something we see regularly here at Altamont Physical Therapy. Sometimes it’s a sudden injury like a sprained ankle. Other times, it’s a nagging problem that’s been building for months.

And if you’ve already sprained your ankle a few times, there’s often that feeling of, “I don’t trust this ankle anymore.” That’s when people start changing the way they’re living without even realizing it.

We start with a thorough evaluation of your foot and ankle, but we don’t stop there. We look at:

We also offer free foot scans to see if custom orthotics could be part of your plan of care.

Then we build a plan around what you actually want to get back to doing. That could be running, hiking, playing soccer, working all day on your feet, or simply walking without pain. Hands-on treatment can help improve your mobility and reduce your pain along the way.

Our goal isn’t just to get you through this episode. It’s to give you a stronger, more capable foot and ankle so you can get back to doing what you enjoy with confidence. We want you to leave physical therapy feeling stronger, more confident, and more capable than when you came in.
