The couch. Feels great for an hour, but when the couch is your office, it can be a real pain in the neck!

Do you work from home and have aches and pains from less than optimal conditions? Come see us at APT. We can help!

Here are some ergonomic tips:

  • Make sure your feet can reach the floor. If they don’t you slide forward in the chair and round your lumbar spine.
  • Use a foot stool if necessary.
  • Sit as far back in your chair as possible. When you sit your butt should hit the back of the chair.
  • Use a towel rolled vertically between your shoulder blades to support your mid-back.
  • Separate your keyboard, mouse and screen to allow your arms to rest by your side with elbows bent to 90 degrees while your monitor is at eye level.
  • Use a wrist guard to prevent carpal tunnel.
