Welcome to Altamont Physical Therapy!
Still Have Questions? Our Staff Would be Happy to Assist You.
What makes Altamont Physical Therapy different?
At Altamont Physical Therapy, we use an Empowerment Model of care. That means you receive one-on-one attention, a clear plan, and the tools you need to take an active role in your recovery. Instead of rushing visits or relying on passive treatments alone, we focus on understanding the root cause of your issue and building long-term strength, confidence, and independence.
Do I work one-on-one with my physical therapist?
Yes. Your visits are one-on-one with a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy. This allows us to fully focus on your movement, goals, and progress — without distractions or double booking.
What conditions do you treat?
We help people in the Altamont area recover from:
- Back and neck pain
- Shoulder, knee, hip, and joint injuries
- Sports and running injuries
- Post-surgical rehab
- Balance and mobility issues
- Chronic pain and recurring injuries
If you’re searching for “physical therapy near me”, our goal is to provide expert care close to home with a personalized approach.
What should I expect on my first visit?
Your first visit is a 60-minute evaluation where your therapist will:
- Listen carefully to your symptoms and concerns
- Learn about your goals and lifestyle
- Assess how your body moves
- Create a personalized plan of care
You’ll leave with clarity, next steps, and often exercises or strategies you can start using right away.
How long will I need physical therapy?
That depends on your condition, goals, and how your body responds. After your evaluation, your therapist will recommend a plan of care and review it with you so you understand why each visit matters and how it connects to your long-term success.
Do you accept my insurance?
We participate with many insurance plans. Coverage can vary, so we always verify benefits before your visit and explain your financial responsibility clearly. If we are not in network with your plan, we also offer self-pay options that can be tailored to your needs and budget.
What is expected of me as a patient?
The Empowerment Model works best when we work together. We’ll provide guidance, education, and expert care — and we ask that you:
- Attend scheduled appointments consistently
- Communicate openly with your therapist
- Follow your personalized home program
This partnership leads to better outcomes and fewer setbacks.
Where should I park when I arrive?
We offer free parking in the lot behind our building for your convenience.
There are two entrances to the clinic:
- A side entrance closest to the rear parking lot
- A front entrance of the building
Both entrances will bring you directly to Altamont Physical Therapy. If you have any trouble finding us, just give us a call and we’ll be happy to help.
What should I wear to physical therapy?
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move easily. Athletic or loose-fitting clothes work best, and supportive sneakers are recommended. If we’re working on your knee, hip, or ankle, shorts are ideal. For shoulder or neck issues, a tank top or loose T-shirt is helpful.
Our goal at Altamont Physical Therapy is to assess how you move and help you move better—so the easier it is for us to see and guide your movement, the more we can get out of your session. If you’re ever unsure, don’t worry—we’ll help you feel comfortable and make it work.
